As the Client Success Manager at Burgex, I have the privilege of interacting with our clients daily, ensuring they receive unparalleled support and value. Over the past four years, I’ve witnessed our company grow from a small office in Sandy, UT, to a leading force in the mining consulting industry. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m proud to be part of a team that consistently goes above and beyond to solve the challenges our clients face in the mining sector.

At Burgex, client support isn’t just a service—it’s a commitment. We understand that our clients’ success is our success, and we are dedicated to providing them with the tools, insights, and solutions they need to thrive. Whether through our Mineralocity platform or our consulting department’s market analysis and feasibility reports, we strive to add massive value at every turn.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is attending expos and industry events, where I represent Burgex and connect with the incredible people who make up our industry. These opportunities allow us to showcase our expertise and demonstrate how we can help solve the complex challenges of mining. It’s inspiring to see how our work makes a real difference, from securing mining claims to ensuring compliance and safety in the field.

My journey with Burgex has been marked by growth, learning, and a deepening passion for the mining industry. It’s an honor to support our team and our clients, and I look forward to continuing this journey, helping to solve the challenges of mining and advocating for the exciting opportunities within this vital industry. Understanding Federal Mining Claims

We Love Geographic Information Systems! (GIS)

Our consulting team recently faced a fascinating challenge with a client earlier this year. The client suspected an aggregate deficit in the southern part of their market area and sought our expertise to identify parcels potentially suitable for limestone mining. We initially targeted several parcels based on factors like size and wetlands presence. At the client’s request, we further refined these targets by incorporating well data from the state. Much of this data consisted of scanned copies of old drilling reports that were not readily accessible in bulk. After extensive online searches, we successfully located and geocoded the data, ensuring it included crucial bedrock depth information.

The detailed map our team compiled validated the client’s suspicions. It highlighted a region in the southeast corner of the target area with notably deep bedrock, where few mines exist due to the significant overburden thickness, contributing to the aggregate deficit. Conversely, the map identified a neighbouring section to the west characterized by much thinner overburden, suggesting that mining could be feasible there and could potentially meet the limestone demand of the region to its east.

Our findings provided the client with the essential data needed to confidently pursue their project, turning their initial hunch into a factually supported strategy.
