MINExpo 2024 Recap: A Look into the Future of Mining
I had an incredible experience representing Burgex Mining Consultants at MINExpo 2024 in Las Vegas! It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with new friends and catch up with familiar faces from across the mining industry. The energy at the event was contagious, and it was inspiring to see how many people are working toward a common goal of advancing the mining industry.
One of the major themes of the show was electrification—there were so many exciting innovations focused on making mining operations more sustainable and efficient. From electric vehicles to renewable energy solutions, it was clear that the industry is moving toward a future of greener, more responsible mining practices.
A personal highlight for me was seeing the enthusiasm from suppliers to the mining industry when learning about our Mineralocity platform. The platform, which maps all U.S. commercial mines and provides advanced GIS tools, generated significant interest. I look forward to continuing these conversations and showing how Mineralocity can support suppliers as they navigate the evolving landscape of mining.
Another highlight of MINExpo was connecting with Rock Products, various State Mining Associations, AEMA, and other industry organizations. It’s wonderful to see so many people within the mining sector focused on outreach, education, sustainability, responsible mining, and reducing our dependence on foreign supply chains. The dedication to making mining a more responsible and transparent industry is truly inspiring, and I’m proud to be a part of this effort.
I’m already looking forward to seeing many of you again at the AEMA conference in Reno, December 3-6, 2024, where we will continue discussions about the future of mining and how we can all contribute to sustainable and responsible practices.
